My Musical Diaries

It all started in 1997 when, as a student at the Opera School at the University of Toronto, I needed to put a demo together for audition purposes. So I looked into making a cassette tape (for all you Gen Y & Z-ers, look up this form of recording in your musical history notes), of some arias and songs that best showed my range and vocal sensibilities. Then I thought, why not make this a permanent thing, and an intimate experience for many people (not just adjudicators!)? — like a CD that someone could enjoy in the long run, whether they’re from Toronto, or California, the Philippines, or Europe…

So my first album was born (Encantada), launched at the Heliconian Club in Yorkville, Toronto. Then followed others, one by one, that seemed to want to be created, as I needed to share different aspects of my musical loves, and as I continued to grow as a singer and artist.
